Who needs a Part 107 license?
Anyone who flies a drone for commercial purposes anywhere in the United States must have a Part 107 license from the FAA. The FAA has a broad definition of what commercial means and you should be certified if you make money from drones (including monetization from ads on YouTube, etc). Real estate professionals, roofers, photographers, mappers, influencers, and first responders are all using drones to increase their results.
Who is eligible for a Part 107 license?
Almost everyone can become a Part 107 certified drone pilot. You need to be at least 16 years old, be physically and mentally fit to fly a drone, and be able to speak and write English. You do not need to be a US citizen. If you meet these requirements, then you need to pass the 60 question Part 107 exam to get your license.

How many hours does it take to study for the test?
The FAA recommends 20 hours of studying to pass the Part 107 exam. Our course is 15 hours, so it’s sufficient when combined with light reading. Many other courses are closer to 5 hours.
